COMPANY HISTORY

Arthur Hutton, principal of A. Hutton & Company, has been working in the valuation profession since 1994, forming his own company in 2002. Since its inception, the firm has grown from a sole practitioner to include six appraisers that cover the New York Metropolitan region, including New York City’s five boroughs, as well as Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

PRINCIPAL AND OWNER

A-Hutton-Co-Team-Portrait-Arthur HuttonArthur H. Hutton has been working in the financial industry since 1981, including over 20 years in the appraisal profession. Upon graduation from Dartmouth College in 1981 with a B.A. in Economics, he was recruited by a major money center bank based in Manhattan. He successfully completed the bank’s rigorous management training program, spending seven years as a commercial loan officer in the New York City and Long Island markets. In his current position, Mr. Hutton holds the New York State General Certification (#46000030547) and is a General Candidate of the Appraisal Institute. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the firm, Mr. Hutton reviews all assignments performed by his staff, as well as preparing appraisals of complex properties.

ASSOCIATES

A-Hutton-Co-Team-Portrait-AlanAlan Wohlgemuth joined A. Hutton & Company in 2005, working as a senior commercial real estate appraiser. Mr. Wohlgemuth earned a B.S. in Finance from New York University in 1986, subsequently obtaining a M.B.A. in Management from Baruch College in 1990. In addition, he holds a New York State General Certification (#46000049571), concentrating on the valuation of complex commercial properties in all our service areas.

A-Hutton-Co-Team-Portrait-StanleyStan Redfearn joined A. Hutton & Company in 2006, working as a commercial real estate appraiser. Mr. Redfearn has been employed in the financial services industry since graduating from Skidmore College in 1981 with a B.A. in Economics and Business. His career in the financial world includes employment as a loan officer at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, National Westminster Bank and Fleet Bank. Since joining the firm, Mr. Redfearn has earned a New York State Appraisers Assistance License (#48000047233) and is pursuing the New York State General Certification, specializing in the valuation of complex commercial properties throughout our service areas.

A-Hutton-Co-Team-Portrait-SkySky Tsou joined A. Hutton & Company in 2011, working as a commercial real estate appraiser. Mr. Tsou graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany in 2008 with a B.A. in United States History. He is currently working towards his New York State Appraiser Assistance License and performs commercial appraisals throughout our service areas, with a focus on both single-user and multi-user retail, office and industrial properties.

A-Hutton-Co-Team-Portrait-MeghaanMeghaan Milligan joined A. Hutton & Company in 2014, working as a commercial real estate appraiser. Ms. Milligan graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany in 2008 with a B.A. in Psychology, subsequently obtaining a M.A. in Teaching from Columbia College Chicago in 2010. She is currently working towards her New York State Appraiser Assistance License and performs commercial appraisals throughout our service areas, with a focus on multi-family and mixed-use properties.

A-Hutton-Co-Team-Portrait-MariaMaria Mirante-Hutton joined the company in 2014 as the office manager. Ms. Hutton graduated from State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 1987 with B.A. in Languages. She spent 25 years in the finance industry, most recently working 15 years as Finance Manager with several European carriers, including Sabena, Swiss Air, and Brussels Airlines. In her current job, primary responsibilities include the day-to-day office functions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and comparable sale verification. She also performs appraisals of owner occupied commercial and industrial properties throughout our service areas.

A-Hutton-Co-Team-Portrait-TeresaTheresa LaGrasta joined the company in 2016 as an office assistant, preparing information regarding bids, managing the database and filing system, as well as aiding in the verification of comparable sale data. Ms. La Grasta graduated from Hofstra University in Hempstead in 1990 with Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Since graduating, she has worked exclusively in the finance industry, including BMI Capital Corporation as a portfolio assistant and Smith Barney as a registered sales assistant.
